It's a long one!!

Oh my word!! Life has been so ridiculously busy that I can’t see straight. Things on this end are going well…and going and going and going. I’m gearing up for summer time, hoping to relax a bit in there somewhere! I’m heading to the lovely beach house here a week from tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited that the lovely DR. Katie Fuller will be joining me on vaca. By the way, did I mention she’s doctor and I’m SUPER proud of her accomplishment?! Vacation Bible School is right around the corner as well and I am very excited about that. I will also be taking a Spanish I course this summer in hopes to learn the language a little better.
I wish that I had more insightful things to say here-it seems like they cross my and then…POOF! They’re gone, never to be seen again. I will say that I have been struggling a bit with the concept of God’s will over my life. Four years ago I feel very strongly that God asked me to enter into the profession of Speech Pathology. I was scared, nervous, excited and more. I researched schools, potential jobs…I felt huge feelings of inadequacy. I prayed. A lot. I began working on my prerequisite work at UT Dallas and I loved each moment of it. It was a change of pace, it was a challenge, but mostly it felt good to be on the pathway to accomplishing something God asked me to do. Then Satan got a hold of my self esteem in the form of a (ridiculous) standardized test…the GRE. I took it twice, both times stinking it up! Many of you know this already. I wasn’t accepted into the program. How could that be?! God called me to it, He’ll see me through it…right?! I was devastated not to be going back to school in the Spring. Then January 19 things changed. She was gone. I had a whole new role in this life…filling the void she left as best I could. Boy has that been hard. But I realized hard was just another part of God’s perfect plan. I can do hard. Some days recently have left me longing for Home, physically and emotionally exhausted over the things of this world. But every time my plans have been “altered” to accommodate bigger things-it’s always worked out for the best. So now I’m just doing my best and working my hardest and what I feel I should be doing and waiting for the best!
That was a tad bit Debbie Downer and I apologize, but such is life right now.  Not everything is that awful J I’ve been on a few dates here and there which has been…an experience I’ll say. This past Saturday I completed my 3rd 5K…running the whole thing for the first time ever in 42.22 minutes.  God is actually using the physical challenge of running and becoming active to show me so many things in my spiritual life…it’s pretty cool. I hope that things slow down a bit and I’m able to do better at updating this thing on a regular basis.
XOXOX.
Ps. 21Lbs away from resolution number 3. And still praying for an opportunity to complete resolution number 2.
